The Research & Innovation cluster is dedicated to advancing a trustworthy and impactful research and development ecosystem across ASEAN. It focuses on promoting research integrity, enhancing intellectual property frameworks, and fostering cross-sector collaborations to drive sustainable innovation.
This cluster brings together researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to identify challenges, share best practices, and co-create strategies that will strengthen ASEAN’s science, technology, and innovation landscape in alignment with APASTI 2026–2035.
Cluster Objectives
To identify actionable strategies that uphold responsible conduct and integrity in research across ASEAN
To highlight opportunities and address gaps in regional intellectual property alignment and commercialisation pathways
To recommend approaches for strengthening collaborations and talent development within the RDICE ecosystem
To generate collective insights that will inform ASEAN’s evolving STI and RDICE strategies under APASTI 2026–2035
To promote ongoing regional dialogue and shared commitment towards a trusted, competitive, and impact-driven ASEAN RDICE ecosystem
